This award honours the group that exemplifies what can be achieved when people work together.

About the Community Group of the Year award

The winners will have approached the challenges they see around them with creativity and commitment or have seized the opportunity to do something differently in their local area.

What marks a group out as special might be how much it has been able to achieve or the breadth of its activities.  However, context is important and exceptional achievement may equally mean getting something small but successful off the ground in an area with multiple challenges or finding an innovative community-led solution to a longstanding local issue.
